Make Me A Mullis!

IT'S WEDDING SEASON, Y'ALL!

I have 123 days until my wedding. And boy...I am in WAY over my head with planning this wedding!

There is so much to keep track of, like expenses and different vendors -- it's hard to keep my head screwed on! It probably would have been smarter to plan this wedding after I graduate in May, but I really wanted my wedding to be this year. Anyways, I am really excited about this planning process and I'm glad I got my maid-of-honor by my side.

As of this writing, I have the following things set in stone:

  • the venue location

  • the bridesmaids & maid-of-honor

  • the wedding dress

  • wedding photographer

...and the wedding date of August 18th, 2018. Meaning, I don't have much time on my hands until Garrett takes my hand and makes me a Mullis!

I'm sending out the invitations later this week and every other detail is going to snowball into place after I take this first step. I still feel super high-strung in terms of where my head is at in the wedding planning process. The Knot definitely does help keep my mind in-check, though!

If you guys don't know who Garrett & I (Diane) are or look like, check out the engagement photos below! They're some of my favorite from the shoot.

I have a wedding vision of "Romantic with a bit of Elegant, and a touch of Formal" according to my profile on The Knot. And I have so many ideas pinned to my #madetobemullis Pinterest Board, I don't know where to begin! This bride needs some serious assistance.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how to decorate a ballroom, as our wedding is going to be a tad non-traditional. This wedding will feel like one big, happy party, as we are doing our vows at the beginning of the ceremony & having a 4-hour reception. Plus, I love having our wedding laid out this way!

My Vision for the Wedding

Colors: Mint Green and Peach Coral

Setting: Indoors

Wedding Accessories: Rose Gold, of course

Where to Honeymoon?

Garrett and I have been talking a lot about where we want our honeymoon destination to be. We both agreed that going out of the country was a necessity, as I have never been out of the States.

Garrett had the great idea of going to Iceland or Amsterdam for the honeymoon, and I was thinking of somewhere like Turks & Caicos or China. Airbnb's were also an idea since I love the fact that you can truly experience the culture of another country through their architecture.

Do any of you out there have any recommendations/tips for these two love birds? Where to stay? What to eat? What to see?

Let me know in the comments if you have any ideas, or just send me links on social media!

And, make sure to leave your email so you can get notified about all things #madetobemullis

Edit: We're thinking of going to Reykjavik, Iceland now and I am so excited to start planning our honeymoon.
