Keep reading to see my styling guide for black leggings!

JUST TO CLARIFY: black leggings and tights are not the same thing

#1: Basic Sleeve Shirt with Sherpa Jacket

Since we are still in the first few months of the new year, I wanted to orient most of these outfits towards this time of the year. And for where I live, it is mostly in the 40-60 Degree Fareignheit area, with some cold wind at points.

In this outfit pictured here, I am wearing a gray long sleeve shirt, a rose gold lanyard neck;ace gifted by my in-laws by Kendra Scott, a black sherpa jacket, black leggings, and black heeled booties from Old Navy.

I am super comfortable in this outfit every time I wear it. I love wearing my black leggings styled like this.

#2: Basic T-Shirt with Colorful Cardigan

If you are looking for something a little more lightweight, this outfit combination might be for you.

Pictured here is me wearing a gray basic shirt from Target, a blue & white striped cardigan, and black leggings. I’m also wearing black tennis shoes (not sure where they are from).

You can really explore with the basic t-shirt color & the cardigan color or pattern. I have so many differentiaitons of colored cardigans in my closet, with different lengths and thicknesses.

#3: Basic Long Sleeve with Scarf Shawl Cover

If you know the proper name of this scarf shawl cover, please let me know! Anyhow…this outfit combination is so cute & looks like you put a lot of effort into your outfit. Depending on your accessories, makeup and shoes, you can truly transform how dramatic the outfit can be.

Pictured here is myself wearing a gray long-sleeve shirt, a gray/red/blue/yellow patterned scarf shawl cover, black leggings, and black heeled booties.

I love wearing this outfit to work & for leisure, so it deserved its own photoshoot!

#4: Cowl Neck Sweater

This outfit includes one of the softest cowl neck sweaters I have ever worn. I honestly wish I owned it in 10 colors.

Pictured here is myself wearing a blush pink cowl neck sweater from Marshall’s, a rose gold necklace from Kendra Scott, black leggings, a brown fashion backpack and black heeled booties.

I am so incredibly comfy in this outfit, I may wear it once every two weeks. And I am not ashamed, to be honest. It makes me really happy to be comfy as I wear an outfit to work, or going for groceries.

#5: Colorful and/or patterned tunic

At-home photo shoots were all the rage back in Summer 2020, so I had to capture when I was feeling myself in this outfit,

Pictured here is myself wearing a coral, floral patterned tunic top, black leggings and sandals. If you wanted to, you could add a light cardigan on top of your tunic to layer up.

I love wearing this outfit in the spring & summer when it is nice out, and you can really dress up this outfit to your liking. Maybe you want to go all out with your makeup, or wear different shoes. The choice is all yours, girly!
