10 Photography Tricks I Learned from TikTok
Before TikTok goes away in the United States, I wanted to share some of the amazing photography tricks I learned from TikTok. I have done my best to credit the original source & the link to the exact TikTok video. Let’s get started!
Free Mockups for Your Business
If you do not know what a mockup is, it is basically what your digital product could look like if it was “mocked up” on a piece of paper or as wall art. I found this TikTok extremely useful, since I want to start an Etsy shop for my digital designs (coming soon, hopefully).
Rawpixel.com includes mockups that you can download. I filtered the mockups further by sorting “free” and “PNG”. The creator of this TikTok also made a “how to” video on what mockups do.
Change the color of things with Photoshop Fix
If you want pieces of your outfit the same color as your background in your photo. You can fix that with Photoshop Fix! It is a free app you can download, and I don’t believe that it will cost you any money to use the app.
4 Easy Poses for Photos
I struggle to pose effortlessly in photos, whether I take them myself or have someone take the photos for me. And this guy knows what he’s talking about in this TikTok.
Product Photography Hack
I don’t know why I didn’t think of this hack before! But it is absolute genius! All you need is YouTube and a mirror.
Places to Hide Your Bluetooth Remote
The main photographer behind most of my Instagram photos is me and my Bluetooth remote. But I do struggle with figuring out where to hide it naturally. And this TikTok showed some great tips on where to hide your Bluetooth remote
Best Apps for Editing Photography
I love using Snapseed, and I learned about it from this TikTok! It is an app that you can use to selectively edit a photo, and it's free!
The Power of Editing
I love Mallory, also known as Mallory on the Moon, as she is so creative in her photos. And editing is truly one of the main keys to her creativeness!
How to Make Animated Custom Gifs!
I did not know that you could make gifs on Canva until I came across this TikTok. And this is such a great tool for entrepreneurs and business owners alike.
How to Create a Color Palette from A Photo
This is also a new tool that I learned from Tiktok about Canva. You can create a color palette from uploading a photo, and Canva will spit out all of the color characteristics you need.
Photoshop for Free
This is the last TikTok photography trick I learned. You can use Photoshop online by going to Photopea.com and uploading whatever Photoshop file you are working with to this site, and it has all of the same functionalities. How cool?!
